If you’ve ever had the desire to write your own book but never got further than thinking about it, this might help you get started.

I had no formal training or academic background.

A friend asked for my help with the autobiography he’d carefully typed out over about ten years. It was about 300+ pages and he wanted to include about 30 full-page photos.

The costs for regular publishing were beyond our reach.

But, the Internet let us produce it as an ebook with all the pictures (several in full-colour) for very little outlay.

I also used the Internet for confirmation on some of the facts in the book. Answers were usually on my computer the day after I emailed the question!

That started me writing my own book which is still selling several years later.

I think this is the biggest revolution since Mr Gutenburg’s day!
